Description

“Damselfly”
Irish insects. Hand needle felt design on square wool felt base with hand-stitched details. The wings have been stitched on silk organza with grey embroidery thread to include the fine vein structure seen on the Damselfly’s wings.  The body is blue green with metallic threads. The finished felt piece is slightly 3D and has been carefully framed in a timber box frame. The Damselfly is a welcome sight in Ireland during the Summer months along streams and rivers.
